SØNDRE TIDENDE (DEUX)
Søndre Tidende is an independent physical paper based on Søndre Sandøy, Norway. The project stems from a desire to create a slower, more reflective, playful and inspiring space in a media world characterized by an accelerating pace, conflict and an abundance of information.
The project is meant to be a publication from an island, yet relevant for everyone. Based at Søndre Sandøy, we want to explore the relationship between people, nature and spaces through stories that seek to inspire and motivate, rather than to lecture; through essays, interviews and activity pages in a playful layout.
The paper is distributed on the island by bike, to different self-service spots we built in the woods. We also have a treasure-map in the paper so that children can engage and go into the woods looking for a hidden treasure - filled with vegan chocolate and seeds from WWF. The project is initiated by Tide Laura and Zeb Bacary.

BARNAS FREDRIKSTAD 3 (2026)
Art direction, design, visual identity + text and illustration contribution. Barnas Fredrikstad is a newspaper made for the kids living in Fredrikstad municipality. Through editorial stories, workshops, assignments, and contributions from the children, the newspaper aims to strengthen engagement and participation among children in their own local communities. Barnas Fredrikstad is advertisement-free and delivered to all schools, where the children receive it and can take it home. Schools and classes can also use it in their teaching.

ROMMET PAPER (2026)
In April, we launched a newspaper for the cultural space Rommet with a focus on architecture, art, literature, music and politics. With the goal of using printed matter to communicate with their diverse audience, the starting point is around Bergen and Rommet, but the paper also include input from other places around the world.
The newspaper aims to be timeless, and questions what tools we use to tell stories and bring knowledge into light. The paper is a place for unconventional ideas, mixing writing on themes urgent, cheerful, and unresolved, from “A Conversation With The Future” to “An Introductory Guide To Rommet”. As Rommet is an event space, an architectural playground, the paper portrays cultural conversation on various plans. Call it a printed playground – visually splashy and unexpected. It is published biannually by me, Tide Laura, and Zeb Bacary, through our independent publishing house Sheriff Verlag.
DYRENES KARNEVAL (2026)
Wildlife-strikes-back. An adventure written by Zeb Bacary, rooted in the Anthropocene era. Animals and other wild creatures seek revenge against humans and their destructive systems. The design follows the content and story of the book - the “red thread” keeps getting tangled and the text experience multiple interruptions, much like the society we live in.

Søndre Tidende is an island newspaper made for the visitors and inhabitants of Søndre Sandøy, Norway, the summer of 2025. By emphasizing engaging, motivating and educational issues, we wanted to show that both this life and this planet are rich in wonderful things. The paper serves as a solution to troubled times with a world that seemingly finds itself at a divisive state. It’s forming a community and connecting people with both each other and the place where they live and are. The project is initiated by Tide Laura and Zeb Bacary, and includes contributions by german artist Heiner Franzen, and 9-year old Geo Willem with book suggestions.

THIS IS MY HANDWRITING (2023-2025)
This is my handwriting is an artist book concerning the loss of handwriting in our increasingly digital society. It contains graphics, histories, discussions, quotes, lettering, thought-provoking essays, artworks, activities for the reader, and other experiments in handwriting. The book delves into the cognitive, artistic and emotional aspects of handwriting, featuring raw and playful lettering by 3rd graders, interviews with teachers, a graffiti artist, a brain researcher, and type-designers. It serves both as an educational tool where one can learn more about the consequences of losing handwriting, and as artistic material to inspire further research and interest. The book is sold at TLP in Dublin, Good Press in Glasgow, Torpedo Books in Oslo, and Tekstallmenningen in Bergen.
EAT YOUR VEGETABLES (2025)
Eat your vegetables is a cookbook containing 30 recipes I have gathered over my two first years as a vegan. “It is 1/3 art project and 2/3 cookbook + a dash of punkzine, all mixed together in choose-your-own-adventure children’s book.”- Rosa Bok Oslo. All pages are handmade with different artistic expressions and material. The book challenges the traditional perception of a cookbook by using split pages – a function most often seen in children’s books. This makes it possible to combine different dishes easily, assembling recipes as you like. The playful nature of the book will ignite the imagination and remind the reader of how many possibilities there are with vegetables. The book is sold at Torpedo Books in Oslo, Tekstallmenningen in Bergen and Rosa Bok in Oslo.
